Want to start fishing for blacktips/bull sharks in florida. anyone know what rod and reel i would need to catch them?

My favorite shark rod is a 6’ Penn Mariner rod (80 to 100 pound), with an Avet 30 2-speed reel. I use 80 lb. power pro as backing with 80 pound mono top shot. You can catch them with smaller setups, but you will be covered if you run across the big boys.

Yeah, if you're casting from a pier or bank, whole different setup than a boat rod.
