I picked up a livescope but unfortunately I am running an ulterra. I plan on upgrading to an Ultrex in the future but that may be a while. I am looking for options to make an arm to mount it on for the present time. The ones to buy, I guess they have been smoking something to think they are worth $500 and up. Looking for some ideas for different options.
Thanks.
If you know anyone selling a 24v Ultrex let me know. I also need to find a humminbird 10 or larger that works with the LS, let me know.

I built my own pole similar to the pole ducer for a fraction of what they are asking for it. I am just not happy with how it would fit on deck in travel mode. Headed back to hardware store tomorrow to look for a better setup to make

I am scared to add the weight to my ulterra since mounting other options albeit heavier mounts, but after replacing 2 trim units, I don't trust it lifting any extra weight. Thanks though I had not seen that they had a new option.

I saw some of his videos on it. I am kind of imitating his design. Having never used one of these transducer, I am not really sure how deep in the water I should go. I am mounting on the right, a couple feet back from the bow so I am erring on the side of caution and going deeper so it can shoot under the boat to the left.. I might post pics of it when it is done because it is very low cost, very fast to remove and deploy, no ram mount needed. I should have everything completed tomorrow and be able to take it out on the water to test.

I recently used a friend's mega live on the mega lock turret and that is the best mount / system made to date.

I've got an Xpress, so keep in mind this is mounted to a 1/4" aluminum gunnel and I use the rub rail as a second point of support. But like you, the thought that $600 for a pole is laughable to me. This setup cost me $100 ($80 of it was the ram mount) to make. It's not the best, but it's solid...and cheap, key for a boat I'm giving to my son when I'm done paying for college. This pic is from before I bought livescope. The LS connector wont fit inside the conduit, so I zip tied it to the outside for now, but am looking at a better way to build this to accomodate. This is 1 1/4" electrical conduit with a GT-54 mounted, and I attached the LS ducer above it now. Bought a roll of Winn tape to make a handle and grommet with. If you have a pencil grinder and a means to bend the conduit, you can build this too.

Just bought a All Aboard mounting system. They make them for the Ultra, Lowrance or Garmin. And I was not even Smoking Anything. Rather than it being all over the deck, it attaches to the trolling motor. I am going to love it for sure and Money Well Spent, in my opinion.
