Fished Lake Whitney with my daughters and my father inlaw yesterday.
Caught 3 stripers, 1 sub, and 2 legal fish.
Ended up donating 2 umbrellas rigs to the lake.
Still a decent day to me as I learn this fishery.

If you aren't using live bait, you need to be deadsticking this time of year. At least that's how I have the most success.

If you aren't using live bait, you need to be deadsticking this time of year. At least that's how I have the most success. Exactly, as good as deadsticking is right now chasing down and caring for live bait is not worth the effort

Exactly, as good as deadsticking is right now chasing down and caring for live bait is not worth the effort Thanx for the suggestion, I plan on trying that technique next time
