On the water around 10:a.m. and fished my way back towards the park ramp and over to the plant..

[Linked Image]

Was throwing swim bait and 10xd and flutter spoon most of the day.. never found anything on graph that showed active fish.. would get back shallow and catch a few smaller fish on spinner bait, then head back out to 18 to 28.

Caught 5 for the day to about 18 inches

If I had to do it again I would have gone behind railroad bridge and stayed shallow all day.. front came through and had to find cover from wind and rain for half an hour .. kind of a disappointing day with two hour drive home raining all the way . roflmao

It's a shame they won't let you use the old park ramp. Guess they don't want to have to clean up after the two-legged pigs! Enjoy your posts. IslandJim

Pics look just like I remember Monticello looked in December. thumb

Unfortunately no stacks with smoke billowing out and heavy flow of hot water in the outlet.
Also usually had quite a bit of fog coming off the water.

What were the water temps ? 55-60 range, unlike the days with the plant running it would 70+.

Glad to see it still has some good fish.

Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!

around 60 to 62... warmer than I thought it would be... think I would have killed them in the pads but thought I'd have better chance at big one in main lake. Next time. roflmao

Nice! That old power plant is it? Looks like a great location for a zombie movie! Great images.

I fished Monti last Thursday... nothing, not a bite, water temps cold.. found a school of what I think were large bass in 10 feet of water off a major point and threw crankbaits, swimbaits, Alabama rig, nothing.. never got a tap all day.

Those guys have a system!
I think that 2 x 6 is to brace that winch so it doesn't pull that trailer over the rail to where the boat is! roflmao

I don't know if they were keeping fish or not... if they were I bet they know about the regs... game warden has been stopping by regularly and even the guys fishing the banks know the rules there. cheers
