2022 was a very good year for me on two of my fav lakes. I ended the year Friday with another memorable one.  Newbie retired and professional angler ChampionFish (Gene's last day at work was just the day before, Thursday) and buddy Jeff joined me from 11am to 530 pm. Only one 2 mile drift from OK to TX. First half we marked fish in 60fow mostly hugging the bottom and boated around 30 fish, it was slow and steady. Then the second half, graph gradually got better, it was game on, the count went up past tripple digit! Probably 30 to 35 overs, biggest is 32" by Gene and a 28.5" by Me. Pink and chartreuse flukes were on the menu. Arigs some good fish as well but flukes caught most. Water temp trends up from 48.5f to 49.5f out in the deep. Catching depth 60 to 69.5 ft. Wind 0 to 5 NW. Good luck guys. Nice outing! Good to see your Texoma posts again! Was it's worth the wait?  Boat was out of service for 6 weeks to the motor trim. Waranty work sure is a drag. Picked her up 10 days ago and fished for 3 hrs and windy and got skunked! Then caught 11 last xmas Monday before the wind blew us off the lake. So been trying to get back and figuring the pattern out and very satisfying to see calm weather and cooler water temp and catching again. Weeehooo!

It was a great day. We marked fish from the beginning of our drift and they stayed with us the entire time. Lots of overs and really nice size box fish. Out of the 110 we caught I would say maybe 15 were the smaller 12 inch fish, the rest were great keepers. It was a great time fishing with Todd and JeffðŸ‘

This weekend warrior took two buddies DSing Sunday noon to 530pm. It was much slower and a grind day. Graph was no where like the previous week and the last 2 hrs graph finally looks great but they were mostly small fish. Total count 24, with two barely overs at 20.25" and 21.333", 8 dinks and the rest are good boxes. And about 50 light peck misses. Forecast is showing more warm days so i will change tatic next weekend targeting shallower instead, 10 to 20ft depths, while waiting for the next artic blast.
