Looking, but need anyone with experience with either. Need two 12v batteries for Ultrex 24v 80lb. Usually fish 7-8 hrs and was wondering if the Ionic 50ah would be enough or should I go with the 60ah Impulse? Thx.

50a ionic is more than enough, ionic is best on the market imo.

I am running Z-Pro lithium's for over a year now. I have had 0 trouble out of them. They have been tortured with 2-3 days on Fork and then a full day on Holbrook mostly on the TM without a charge. When I did plug them in to the MK460PCL it showed less than 50% discharged. They are out of Austin, owner is a good dude. He has been working to expand his brand from kayaks, and has gotten sponsor partnerships with TTO and a few other places. I am looking to add another for my electronics and have the X-2 only for the lights and big motor.

Ionic 50ah will get ya around 2-2.5 days of run time for the average fisherman, meaning not runnning on 100% al day or fishing in heavy currents. For the most part batterie labeled with 50ah or 60ah pretty much in the same rating some companies tend to round numbers up or down depening on the lineup they carry also to make it more appealing to customers when comparing batteries as in your case. Im a dealer for a couple different brands with ionics being my best sellers and Dakota kinda of falling off the map with a lot of failures lately but also carry Zpro mentioned above. Glad to to help ya out and get ya setup, I have bundles as well.

All ionics have built in bluetooth to help with monitor your power usage along with the the battery health if a problem does happen, Zpro is now starting to include bluetooth as well but will couple more weeks before available to public .

I'd definitely check out Amped Outdoors. For the price and warranty, seems like the best bang for the buck. I'm in to my 4th year with mine with zero issues

Thx for all the replies. Trying to find someone using these on a 24v trolling motor, instead of a 36v. Also looks like the Amped 60 cost more and less warranty than the Ionic 50.

Just went through this, and picked up 3x50ah Ionics. Generally, I was advised the guideline for 24v (especially on a non-brushless TM) go with a pair of 60/75/80 or 100ah. For a newer brushless motor/36v motor you can go with 50ah without worry. Barring unusual circumstances like fishing a lot of current or multi-day trips w/o charging. Then 100ah is still the better choice.

Will.i.am is correct (of course) that the ratings are similar - IIRC the 50ah Ionics is actually a 54 or 56ah model, but the way it's reported in BT application they list it as 50ah. Same goes for some companies selling 60ah batteries, they are "rounding up" smile.

Went all in on Ionics about a year ago. Still amazed on how great they are.

I second the Z-Pros. Based in North Austin near Hutto/Taylor. I've had a 24v 50ah over a year for testing and I get a full day with it using it hard sight fishing. Michael the owner is a great guy, excellent customer service and warranty. I like that they are local if I have any issues.

I went Powerhouse Lithium on my new boat. Had Ionic in my last boat with zero issues. Stay away from Dakota as it seems they have issues lately.

I went with the 60ah Impulse non bluetooth when they had them on sale... I'm not a tech savvy guy who needs everything at my fingertips... I bought a cheap meter to let me know the status of the batteries... Lowest I've seen my batteries is 40% after multipole trips. Before I bought them I had a question so I emailed them at 5am on a Saturday... They answered me less than 15 minutes later... He said he was on his way to fish a tournament and had a second so he answered my question... Dan
