Anyone have any information on the sandbass or hybrid fishing right now? Going to visit a friend this weekend and we are gonna give it a try. I haven’t fished the lake in probably 25yrs.

I Haven't been this winter yet, but I'm sure the deadstick bite is on. Usually around 3 fingers and Rocking Chair by now.

God Bless America!

Thank you for the info guys! Not knowing the lake, I don’t know where these areas are. Are there maps available that will show these locations? Appreciate it!

Plano, fish the river from state park, all wind blown points and long banks ending into deeper water. Ifn the bait is there and it is this time of year ,drift fishing will produce , Hybrids, sandies and tank crappie !

A quick report on my Bridgeport trip. Most of our time was spent in the main lake basin around Stripling Island. We drifted in 40-50ftw deadsticking pink and chart/white flukes. We used a thumper to keep the fish under the boat, and boy did it work. Fish were pretty thick in 25-35ftw. Sand bass were plentiful, hybrids were hard to come by but did land a few nice ones, and had a flathead that pulled a little drag. Overall a fairly successful trip thumb

Good lick ! The Hybrids have been elusive on Bridgeport for several years. There was a time when two dozen solid Hybrids and 40 mag sandies were considered a bad day !!
