Me and some others will be fishing Athens tomorrow from 7-2. $50 five fish. 4 unders/1over or 5 unders. Solo or 2 person team. Will pay 1 in 5. 100% payback. If we have more than 5, big bass will be paid. Anyone is welcome to pay and play. Look for me or Kyle. Black Toyota Tundra with a white/black/red Skeeter. We will pay and go…start at 7am. At the ramp by 2….unless we ALL decide to change the time to 3pm.
Weather will be nice and it’s a warming trend. Should be good fishing.
Easy going and laid back group.

So far, we only have 7 boats. Some great anglers though. Will be fun.
Come on out and fish while your wives return gifts! Haha.

5 dinks. 5.80. 2nd had 5.42. Big bass was 1.46.
I caught all the fish for 2nd place in front of the restaurant by the boat ramp. From 12:15-1:00. I also had a fish that was almost 6 pounds..but it was 20-3/4”. Haha. I was wondering why we got up early. Next time I’m sleeping in and starting fishing around 11am. Lol.

Had fun, caught only slot fish. If yall do it again, let me know! Will do. I caught all of the keepers, and the bigger slots on a weightless wacky rigged senko in the dead Lilly pad stems. It was interesting. The fish turned on right after the cloud cover settled in, and then lasted about two hours. For around 30 minutes, it was a fish in every cast. It was like the fish were waiting on the right light and water temp….then when those happened…wow. Sadly, the bite went away as fast as it came. Every fish I caught was in 2-3 fow. All the guys that fished deep, looking for “the one”, either zeroed or caught medium slots. I caught several over 4 pounds, three between 19-21”. But, like everyone else, nothing over 21”. I think the next get together will either be Fairfield or Squaw. Probably Fairfield.
