Been walking little and big bear creek in the mid cities and am wondering if anybody has had luck fishing these. They look pretty good. Seen any number of sunfish swimming around, but nothing else. There is also two fishing ponds in the bear creek park area in euless that seem like they would be good to fish as well. Am I wasting my time? Any help would be appreciated.

I have not fished that area for years, but both creeks should have sunfish, bass, and catfish. They stock trout and have stocked catfish in Bear Creek Park (Keller). Hopefully someone with more recent experience will respond.

There are fish there for sure. As mentioned catfish, bass and all manner of bluegill and greenies. Also have seen carp in there.

One pool in particular had a couple of really nice bass. They were solid bass on a lake but HUGE for that little creek. However it was nearly impossible to fish for them. You are way up above the pool on a little cliff. Would have had to go upstream a ways to get down into the canyon and wade back down some ways... With all the debris in the creek and snakes etc. I passed on that adventure... however if they were DD's I would have gone! Ha. Snakes be dammed.

I am also familiar with the little ponds you mentioned. They have bass, some nice ones. However the water was SUPER clear and way over populated with little 2-3 inch sunfish... The bass would look up at me in that clear water and just slowly fin away. I could see them being good at night in warm weather with a frog or big worm.

Its a pretty cool spot. Fished it a lot when my then GF (now wife) lived over that way. Let us know how you do!
