glad to see some of those 3 yr olds start inching towards 18" I have a feeling that larger one is also a three year old based of the stocking history. Lew is about to make a run at some excellent hybrid fishing for the next few years. It's been pitiful for the last couple of years. We have an exceptional class of 1-2.5 year old fish in the lake right now.

This has me really excited. I think LL was the absolute best winter time deadsticking lake in the area. I don't see how hybrids have gotten back in the lake. According to the TPWD they have only stocked sunshine bass in the lake since 2019

Palmetto and sunshine are both hybrids. Tons stocked the last few years. Things are looking really good for us over the next 2-3 years.

While that is true, there is a big difference in the size of the fish. Wipers can get 3 times as big or more as a sunshine bass. While it's nice to know the sunshine bass are thriving in the lake it won't get me back out there to fish.

From what we saw last Saturday there is an Awesome population of Hybrids. Both Palmetto and Sunshine. I wouldn't give up on Lake Lewisville. It is a great fishery with potential Trophy Size Hybrids.

I fished it weekly for several years. I really felt I was on track to get the lake record when I moved away. If and when the double digit population returns, I'll be back.

Drifting with A-Rigs is a lot of fun, You are dialed in to the Hybrids , prolly on any lake. Good to see an angler that knows how to fish !
