I posted this in the bass forum. Thought you guys might be able to help too. Livescope is $999 and Livescope plus is $1699 right now. Is Livescope plus worth the $700 difference?

If the plus is in your budget get it, the technology will be supported longer. If you already have LS I don't think its worth the upgrade.

I personally would spend the saved $700 on the largest screen I can get. I think the LVS34 is better but not $700 better. That's my .02

I have the LVS32/1022 on one boat and the LVS34/106SV on another boat. Both are mounted about 14 in off the deck. One a double Cornfield Crappie and the other on a single Balzout. I sit while crappie fishing so units are easily seen and reachable. Transducer mounted on trolling motor shaft. Trolling motors are hand operated so I can control view direction. Both setups use separate LiFePO4 batteries.

LVS32/1022: used in shallow lake\slightly stained lake in E. Texas. Works great. Target separation is good on trees and brushpiles. Locating trees and brushpiles good to about 50-60 ft forward.

LVS34/106SV: used in deep/clear lake in N. Texas. Works great. Target separation is excellent on trees and brushpiles. Locating trees and brushpiles excellent to about 100 ft forward.

Summary: Both setups work great. I have pretty good vision so 10 in screen is fine for me given the distance I am from the units. 12in screen suggestions certainly could benefit many folks and is certainly an option where to put those extra dollars. LVS34 has better target separation and more power for deeper/forward distance scanning. I'm very happy with both setups and both have aided me in finding and keeping the bait on structure holding active fish.

Hope this helps and whatever you decide you will be amazed!

I also have both LS32 and LS34 on 2 separate boats.

Short answer is worth the $700?
If you have the money yes if you don’t no.

Is it worth $700 more?
I don’t think so imo. If you get dialed in on the LS32 it’s a great pic. The LS34 is a bit cleaner, tackles the ghost tree a bit better.

$700 can buy you 1 to 2 quality high end crappie rods and reels vs those wayyy overrated green rods every YouTuber promotes. Rods that sit and collect dust in my closet. Or as mentioned above buy the 12” vs 10” with that $700.

It is always cheaper to buy the newest unit. Otherwise within a year you will have both.

LVS32 on the left, LVS34 on the right. 1242xsv unit. Wylie dive member in the water standing on a sunken boat on our education trip with them. Both systems are set to factory defaults straight out of the box.

My ghost tree was so bad, that brushpiles would completely disappear in it.

On the 32, I had to sell it and bought an Lowrance active target. I’d rather have the 34, but it wasn’t out at the time.

At the time yes. Ghost reject did nothing for me. If you can swing the 34, it’s definitely better, but I understand wanting to save money too.
