Brrr. Pretty strong cold northerly winds greeted the anglers at the 8 AM start and never really let up all day until quitting time at 3 PM. But even though there were skunks' fish were caught on a variety of lures. And many were caught shallow.

We fish three rotating sections on Lake Fork every other Thursday daytime about 22 times a year and today was number 1 for 2023,

We fished section 2 today. All bass 10" and up count. MLF format, where every fish you catch counts including slots.

Boaters

1st Mike McWhorter of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 9.60 LB with the boater lunker of 2.42 LB.
2nd Billy Davis of Yantis with 2 bass for 2.70 LB. with a lunker of 1.41 LB.
3rd Alf Tuggle of Scroggins with 1 bass for 2.13 LB
4th Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 2 bass for 1.69 LB with a lunker of 0.93 LB
5th were all of the zero weights boaters

Co Anglers

1st Rick Wright of Rowlett with 2 bass for 2.60 LB with a co-angler lunker. of 1.63 LB.
2nd Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 1 bass for 1.45 LB.
3rd Jimmy Bright of Frisco with 1 bass for 1.29 LB
4th Jackie Price of Alba with 1 bass for 0.81 LB
5th were all of the zero weights co-anglers


15 bass were caught, which is half of last time. Whew! and 6 anglers were skunked. A whole bunch called off for various reasons well ahead.
