Anyone cracked the code and gotten close to GYB senko consistency? Ive been trying with varied results. Too much salt really stiffened my baits to where they had zero action. Too little and they fall too slow and don't get bit as much as a senko. I have been told that GYB uses silica sand in addition to salt to increase density without compromising action, but when I inspected the baits under the microscope I only saw salt. Maybe i'll take a closer look later. When I remelt torn senkos into other lures they work so well! If anyone wants to share a good stick bait recipe I'm all ears. Thanks in advance!

I do it without measuring, but end up using about a 3 or 4:1 ratio of Plastisol to salt. As long as it is stirred up very well during each injection, it works really well. Just make sure to keep it suspended!

Glass beads work much better than salt. Plastisol will adhere to glass but not to salt. That's why true senkos are so fragile. I've caught 15 fish on one of my "stick baits".

Interesting, what ratio of glass media to plastisol do you like to use if you don't mind me asking? Barlow's has a disclaimer that their glass media can damage the polished inner surface of an injector so that deterred me from trying it.

3 tsp per 2 ounces so basically 4 TBSP per cup. Using the Yamamoto licensed do-it senko mold they come out at the same weight as a true senko. If you're using a different mold you may need to adjust the ratio a little to get the fall and wiggle you want. They will damage the inner surface of the injector but it doesn't seem to matter much. I have a dedicated injector for shooting with glass beads but sometimes use it to shoot without glass beads and it works just fine. You want to be sure to use glass bead media (I think the stuff I use is 80-120 off the top of my head). It's round as opposed to the blasting media which is shards. Hope that helps.
