Went to Fayette to run the boat and get the winter fuel throughout the fuel system. Got on the water at 9:30 and was met with a little more wind than is comfortable. Ran around the lake for about 15 minutes and decided to wet a line and went to an area that has some wind protection. In the next 3 hours caught 14 up to 2.84 pounds. Most were around 1-1/2 pounds but were a lot of fun on the ultra-light rod and reel. Bite was light with all hooked in the lips, none of the usual deep hooked. Had to keep the bait right on the bottom.
Cast netters were out, netting from their boats. One of them is a center console that either they don't know how to drive, or it is severely under powered. It throws a wake that would make the wake boats proud.

So this was a wednesday? Are these netters a problem everyday.....I'm new to this lake and want to get out on a weekday to avoid any problem children......TIA

The cast netters are on the lake pretty much every week day. I can't say if they are there on weekends or not, I'm not there then.

I don't know about that. The three castnetters drowned on February 14, 2020 and I think that would be when the lake is at it's coldest.

Wrong. FCL keeps its water much warmer than any other lake around.
