Went back to Martin Creek yesterday.. have been fishing there pretty much every other weekend as I do prefer lots of bites over fewer bites this time of year.. even if the fish are smaller than I’m looking for. Fished there last weekend for a few hours in the anfternoon and it was slow but caught a few shallow and saw a beautiful sunset before the winds hit.


Not even sure when it was… but I was paddling backwards to ramp to see it change.



Got up early and made it there right at sun up yesterday.







The plan was to be off the water around noon… Went through more swim baits than I’d brought with me and ended up throwing flukes on underspin.. Don’t know how many I caught but at least 20 landed… four of them between 20 and just short of 22 inches..all healthy looking fish.. Great day on the water.. left them chomping at dark.

Folks out to get up there if they want to catch some fish... water was 80 degrees on the warm side of the bridge, 68 towards the back where the pads are. Heard from a guy that caught a 7 lb bass that he said was full of eggs.

Great pics as always. It's been so long since I've got to fish I think I forgot how. Glad your getting out there.
