Water Temperature 62 degrees, Light & Variable winds, Dense Fog Advisory, made for a slow trip to our first fishing spot. Started on the south shoreline over shell and had no takers. Moved back into the marsh and found some nervous bait and started catching Speckled Trout on ¼ oz heads with tails. Kept moving around and finally found fish stacked up in a channel right next to a flat and channel bend and it was non-stop action for a few hours. We kept just enough for a good meal and threw a ton back to live another day. Moved to a couple other channel bends in different areas and replicated with similar results. Also, threw a topwater, and a swim bait, but the fish wanted the slow deeper presentation of the jig head. The days are getting shorter and the water is starting to get right, so hit me up for artificial teaching trips, as well as boat navigation trips on where to run and how to best put yourself in a position to catch fish consistently thru the fall and winter months, when fishing pressure eases up and you can enjoy some of your great days on the water with family and friends.
