Today was the first tournament of the new year for us which begins in December. And this is also the beginning of our tenth year. I do remember our first year it was cold. Even colder than today was. And like today the fishing was tough.

We fish three rotating sections on Lake Fork every other Thursday daytime about 22 times a year and today was number 1 for 2023,

We fished section 1 today. All bass 10" and up count. MLF format, where every fish you catch counts including slots.

Boaters

1st Randy Bunch of Lake Fork with 4 bass for 8.84 LB with the boater lunker of 5.71 LB.
2nd Herb Powell of Lake Fork with 4 bass for 6.49 LB. with a lunker of 4.68 LB.
3rd Dusty Newton of Van with 3 bass for 4.71 LB with a lunker of 2.25 LB.
4th Jack White of Farmers Branch with 2 bass for 4.44 LB with a lunker of 2.74 LB
5th John Berech of Garland with 3 bass for 4.04 LB. with a lunker of 1.58 LB

Co Anglers

1st Rick Wright of Rowlett with 3 bass for 5.86 LB with a co-angler lunker. of 3.12 LB.
2nd Jackie Price of Alba with 3 bass for 2.12 LB. with a 0.76 LB lunker.
3rd Kenneth Chapman of Yantis with no bass.
4th Jimmy Bright of Frisco with no bass
5th Scott Powell of Lake Fork with no bass
6th Tom Black of Lake Palestine no bass


27 bass were caught, and 5 anglers were skunked.
