Been catching plenty of nice Redbreast this year fishing creeks and hill country rivers. Caught plenty of Trophy Redbreast in the 10" range including a couple of waterbody records. Here are a few that I caught recently while fishing some central Texas creeks and hill country rivers. Fish were all caught using both float and bottom techniques. The "Bait of Champions" worms was the bait of choice. Fish were holding close to the bank by weed beds and by short drop offs by grass beds. All fish were released.

Great post Chuck and nice redbreast.

Side notice: I get confused with the redbreast and the longear. One of these days I'll get it right.

Thanks Steve and Yesenia for the replies. Steve: Yes Sir, a lot of my water bodies I fish can use several inches of RAIN! On the bright side some of my spots have gotten some good rain over the past couple of weeks. thumb I see your point Yesenia. Seems that the Redbreast have much longer ears than the Longear. roflmao confused 3

Nice fish Chuck. I have also had a good Redbreast year. What type of water body have you caught most of your Redbreast?
