I was running down the lake this morning, when a fog bank brought us to a gradual halt. As a captain, there are few things I hate worse than fog. While listening for the sounds of boat engines approaching through the murk, I was tickled (I don’t get tickled very often) to hear not only the sounds of feeding gulls, but the actual explosions of big striper. Lowering the trolling motor into the glass calm waters, I blindly eased us towards the chaos.

We were throwing keepers back by 8:00am, so I joined in on the fun. The White Hot Thump Daddy from Constant Pursuit Outfitters and a Paul Spraggins bucktail teaser humbled an impressive amount of striper today.

T Bird, I finally found of a mold that I liked about 5-6 years ago, and have been pumping a saltwater resin through it ever since. Basically, I took an already proven design and did what I could to make it better.I REALLY hate baits that tear up easily when I’ve got customers on the boat.

Good to see some action as it has been kinda slow lately .since they quit schooling in Big Rocky /Little Rocky this /Three fingers Area this Fall.
