I’ve got a 2019 Skeeter FX250 and just got my renewal notice…$1,122 for the year!!

Does this seem high? And can anybody recommend a more affordable provider?

Who are you with for your insurance? i've got Travelers on the my 2012 ZX200 for around $850 a year but that comes with some engine warranty as well. I don't mind paying a little extra to cover my rearend in case I grenade a motor.

Get ready, boat insurance isn't the only thing going up. With the losses insurance companies have taken this year with the Florida hurricanes, it's all going up.

I appreciate all the responses guys! Lots of good info, and yes unfortunately I think some of it is the nature of the industry. I had a broker yesterday tell me the same thing related to natural disasters causing insurance companies to take huge losses and now they are trying to recoup some of that. Also said labor/supply shortages with insurance related industries (repairs)…and even population increase specifically in our state has effected rates.

Worldwide did not work out for me...they claimed they had roadside assistance with the Progressive policy but did not honor it when I needed it. They also did not even bother to call me back in the follow up phase...poor service!

Jeff Girdley 972.921.2900 in Canton. Ryan McCoy is another good option. I've used both for home, car, boat.

Mine too. Found best coverage and pricing. A broker, so he’s not tied to any company!
