Have t been to the lake place ar Rayburn in a while. Headed there next week. Hope it rains enough to bring lake level up some. It’s rained a ton here in League City or seems like it. Don’t have a rain gauge anymore, not sure how much it has rained last few days.

Thanks, Billy

I hope its enough to only slowly rise and not get muddy and kill what grass is in the lake. It needs water for sure but it needs grass even more

Its in great shape, needs to catch a foot at most or grass will be a goner.

Not sure why lake level has not began to increase yet. 2 weeks ago my dad had 10" of rain in Broaddus and I am sure we have had several more since then.

It only shows generation for about 4 hour per day. Not sure if they are drawing it down to kill the grass and sylvania. Latest report shows a slight decline in level still.

Definitely not drawing down for salvinia or hydrilla. It was already low most of the year. The rains have to be in the Angelina and attoyac watershed to make any difference. And that's after soil has been saturated.

Do not wish for too much at once or the grass will go bye bye.

Needs to rise 6"-12" at a time every 30-45 days or so.

noticed alot of salvania on the main lake yesterday, that is indicative of water flow from the creeks

Its on the rise. Hopefully it stays clear enough to let the grass stay good

It’s been raining a lot for the last few weeks and the lake has finally come a whopping 1-2 inches!

One inch of rain falling on 1 acre of ground is equal to about 27,154 gallons. Rayburn is a big ol lake. Probably around 85,000+ right now. Gonna take a LOT of runoff and a couple of big rains to fill it back up. Like most of our lakes. Travis is down 42' right now.

One of the few things I’ve noticed living in Texas is……We are not just between rains here, we are between floods!

Rain or not the bass will be fine. Lake always comes back. Don't expect more rain next year though.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

It has to rain in the water shed for rayburn to rise, it hardly raises much from just raining on the lake

even the rain we got last night, it will help, but will it be enough to get a significant rise. Getting a foot or two in a week might be enough to eliminate grass in some areas.
