One of the best American soccer stars ever was born and raised here in Nacogdoches. His family still lives here and I see him at he coffee shop periodically and no one knows who he is. They recognize a second string bench sitter on the high school football team, but not Clint Dempsey. The manager of a Mexican restaurant in Tyler used to wear a Clint Dempsey jersey a lot, maybe still does. He is known in a lot of places, then again they have soccer playing on their TVs all day every day. We were visiting my kid Friday and went for Jave’s for lunch. I thought it was really nice and close to the house. We were doing the Grandparents Day thing out at Brook Hill. I needed a margarita by lunch.

I, along with my spouse, attended the gold medal soccer game at the 1996 Olympics. It was held at Sanford stadium in Athens, ga. The atmosphere was incredible, the fans were nutz. The game was a sleeper

I got to watch an Olympic soccer game in person many years ago. They carried off 6 players on stretchers and loaded them into ambulances. I don't know if it's gay or not, but you won't catch me trying to play.

Soccer is stupid, I dont care what they make. Its gay and if you played past the age of about 7 you are probably gay too Lol ignorant post of the day, these guys and gals are just as talented as any other top athlete. If you see it in person it makes a bit more sense. I feel the same way about hockey watching it on TV is a beating.

My Granddaughter was all state 2 years at Kennedale and I could hardly sit in the stands to watch it was so bad. A couple of years her team won state and I was proud of her but I still couldn’t enjoy it.

i was on a team that was coached by a real Nazi
he was brought over to work at LTV
we were together form 4th grade to senior in high school
we would beat teams 25 to 0
& he called us P's
told us we should have won by 50
& made us run
we lost 1 game in that entire time
we knew we would win everytime out & it was fun you were in the hitler youth movement
