Doing the usual body/tail matches from different soft plastics. Too bad the surfaces of all waters near me are iced over with not a chance of trying them out.

I got a shipment of skirts from EK last week. Tied about 20 jigs and they worked great the last few trips. I have the jig dialed into the exact weight, type, and group of natural colors. I have been testing out hooks lately trying to fine tune my goto jig.
Woke up this morning Got yourself a gun....

Do you use a trailer all of the time? Which one if so?

Yamamoto 4" twin tail grubs on my finesse bails Good combo. The double tail (Mr Twister) was one of my best lures long before I knew how to make my own. Rigged on a 1/8 oz. ballhead jig, they caught smallmouth and LM no matter the water. I never tried them with my skirted jigs seeing as how the #11 Uncle Josh pork frog trailer was king long before soft plastic trailers made the scene. No point having to put something back into a jar after yanking it off the jig when so many plastic trailers work as well.
