I taught a class on bass fishing techniques last weekend and one of the most requested items is what to do when you get a fish hook in you past the barb. Yes, you can push it all the way through and cut it but that hurts worse than anything. Tell them you're gonna pull it out on 3 but do it on TWO!

Hope this helps someone. cool

Used it on myself a couple of times. Saved my fishing day. thumb

The do it on "two" method is not applicable to self applications. roflmao

Ha! Pulled several out that way and had some pulled out of me! Count to three and pull on 2 is correct!! Doesn't bleed and can tie the jig back on and get back to catching crappie!! thumb

Done it many times. My wife is an ER nurse and showed her and she then showed the docs. The docs have all refused to do it, not in a medical book, not taught in med school, you get paid more for "surgery"! Do the trick, it works!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

I have had that method used on myself a few times and worked great, however my grandson got a hook in the tip of his finger with the eyelet facing away from the palm I tried 2 times with that trick could not get it out , so I pushed it all the way through and I didn’t think he would of let me but I had a depth grip on his finger cause I could see the pain on his face and knew if I stopped he would probably not let me try again.
