Although originally from Oklahoma, I had never been to the Broken Bow area (granted, I grew up nearly 500 miles from there). Took a guide out yesterday morning. Lake is 12' low and there is no shoreline cover. We caught a number of blacks and spots on drop shot around structure, and some really big whites (plus one small black and one crappie) on slabs in 45' of water (think we could have caught them all day). But our best fishing was on topwater (walking baits), in areas where we were finding lots of shad and seeing single fish bust from time to time. No cover to come off of, they were just chasing schools of baitfish. By far our best fish all day long were on top, both blacks and spots, and our only smallmouth (2.5 lbs) came on top in 80' of water.

Beautiful day and beautiful lake. Going to hit it again in the spring for a couple of days. Seems like lots of solid keeper fish in this lake, just maybe more of a pattern in the spring I'm hoping.
