Anyone have a recommendation for a manufacturer/model of a decent spinning reel? I fish bait casters 95% of the time. The only time I use a spinning reel is when I throw a trick worm. I'm just looking to upgrade that setup. Budget of $150.00 (prefer to spend less). Also how about a good braid for spinning reels.

I'm a Daiwa fan so my recommendations are a bit bias. I like the Daiwa Tatula, LT, Procyon LT, Ballistic LT & Fuego LT in the 2500 sizes (6.2:1 gear ration). I own all of them. I've had the Ballistic LT the longest but have full confidence in any of them. The Fuego is the cheapest, you can find for less than $100. The others you might have to search around to find them for $150 or less.
Sunline SX1 in 16# or the Sunline Siglon PEx8 in 16# are my go to. The SX1 seems to be a little smoother but I haven't had any problems with either.
I fish a spinning rod a LOT. Probably more than I should but a drop shot is my confidence bait when things get tough.

I am a Shimano guy --- used to be a Diawa guy many years ago . I currently use the Stradic , Symetre and Nasci . For $100 , the Nasci is turning out to be a great reel for the money --I've had two for a few years and not a single complaint

I have had good luck with Pfluger Presidents, price is right and they are smooth. Go with a 3000 or 4000 size. BD

I spend a lot of time trying to match spinning reels & lines with my St Croix rods. For me the perfect reel match is the Pflueger Supreme XT. I have been testing one out for about a year & finally got a second one today. Very smooth casting...excellent drag & reliable...for around a hundred bucks...

shimano nasci is gonna be hard to beat. I would find a used shimano stradic FK or FL even from japan they are $115 used... Pretty hard to beat those.... Those daiwa lower end reels feel really weird, but I do like my daiwa exist.

NASCI is hard to beat in that price range.
