Anyone use the X2 Power AGM batteries? I have a 2003 VMAX carb'd outboard and wanted to replace my starting battery with one that will last longer with my pumps, electronics etc.

Everyone that I know that has one praises them. I don't have them as I went with a Sam's Duracell 31M AGM. Both are praised by many in the fishing world.

I just bought one a couple of months ago and it has been great. I will say that I read multiple threads on BBC that Dual Pro chargers do not fully charge the X2's making their longevity compromised. I had already replaced my old Dual Pro with a Noco so I should be good. The 4 year warranty is nice for sure.

I can't remember the exact model of my charger but it's a newer Minn Kota one. I'll double check that it will not have issues charging this thing.

I don't have much room for a Group 31, I was hoping a Group 27 would suffice. The CCA looks like it will work for my motor. I don't have a ton of electronics, but I do use my poles quite a bit.

I have the Group 27 myself. I don't run my livewell much unless I am crappie fishing since I only fish for fun. I have no issues running my graphs. The only chargers referenced on BBC were the Dual Pro's. I have a 03 Triton with a Merc XR6 carbed as well. It cranks it fine. I am sure your MK is fine and will charge that AGM fully.

I've had mine for two years. It's heavy, but, it's a beast.

Very good battery. I ran one for a couple years in my old boat. If I can offer another option at a lower price point, check out this NAPA Commercial battery. Heck of a battery for a decent price.

over three years in my ranger z521 with 3 12 inch graphs, mega 360, active target. No issues just very heavy and pricey. I have the dual pro and have not had an issue. I would go to lithium if I were replacing now.

Pricey but worth the $$ in my mind. After I had a lead cell battery roll over one morning only three hours into a tournament and a good limit in my live well, I had had it!!! I was either going AGM or Lithium for my cranking battery. I was already lithium on my trolling side, but decided AGM was the way to go for my replacement.

I took it out on a test run, ran pumps for 10 hours, all graphs and I had zero problem with anything.

I don't believe my 2003 VMAX will properly charge a Lithium battery. I've also read that Skeeters like weight in the bilge, otherwise they tend to porpoise.

I was told not to run an AGM with my 2001 VMAX since it has a stator.

AGM or lithium? AGM batteries are not a whole lot different of a load vs a standard flooded lead battery.

The X2 has awesome cranking power with low voltage drop to my graphs while they are on, I run a mercury 2 stroke.
