I went out for a few hours yesterday afternoon. I caught 52. 50 sandbass, 1 hybrid and a 14 pound carp. I fished the main lake sunken island just north of Prairie Creek, Tennis Court and Spillway Hump. All fish were caught in 13 to 15 FOW on a Mepps #4. The water temperature was 68.

Fished a half day with Chuck Rollins on Saturday for some crappie, we wanted to have a fish fry Saturday night, the crappie were really scattered and we were only catching 2 to 3 per brush pile, so we went to the spillway hump and caught 40 Sandbass in about 30 minutes. [Linked Image]

11/16/2022: Went out for about an hour to check conditions and see where the fish were. The water temp is 60 degrees F. Fish are still in shallow water (10 to 15 fow) at Key Ranch Drop-off. These fish preferred a #2 Mepps. Also found fish at 3-Jug Hump in 17 to 18 fow, and they preferred a #4 Mepps. The only other spots I checked were Long Ridge and Long Ridge West and didn't find much there. I did see a bunch at Pitts Point in 18 fow on the 15th when I put my boat back in the water after the Texoma trip. I didn't try to catch any, but it looked really good.

Thanks for the update Dennis. I'm going to try to hit it tomorrow afternoon for a few hours. I'm going to hit the links this afternoon.

11/17/2022: Neighbor Graham and I went out from 1:30 to 4:30 PM to Greenhouse Ridge and East Dam Hump and caught 108 fish: 84 whites, 17 short hybrids, 5 yellow bass and 2 cats. Fish were in 20 to 24 fow, and we caught them on #4 Mepps and 2/5 oz silver Little Cleo spoons. We caught them straight down and casting out and working back along the bottom. Here is Graham with a short hybrid on a Little Cleo:

I got out a little late this afternoon. Stopped by tennis court and spillway hump but didn't see any good concentrations. I picked up 2 on spillway hump. Around 1500, I moved to Merimack and found good numbers on the north side. In 1 hour I picked up 27. All total I had 25 sandbass, 2 yellow bass, 1 short hybrid and 1 cat. All fish caught on Mepps #4. Depth was 18 - 20 FOW and the water temp was 59F.

11/22/2022: Friend Paul H. and I fished from 10 am to 2:15 pm and caught 134: 115 mostly big whites,17 short hybrids, 4 cats, 2 yellow bass, and one legal hybrid. We caught them at Long Ridge, Long Ridge West, 3-Jug Hump, and Merimac Point in 18 to 21 fow on #4 Mepps and caught them at key Ranch Drop-off in 9 to 15 fow with #2 Mepps. Submerged schools of fish were easy to see using side-scan. We could also find them hugging the bottom using sonar magnified X4. But these bit slower than the ones we found using side-scan. Water temp was 57 degrees F.
