I’ve only been there once but we caught em shallow!! Same at Texoma. Maybe they stay shallow to avoid getting eaten by Stripers??

Yep what we also think. As we have brushed out our slip we just catch a few little ones now and then, but the stripers are there most of the time..

Sad part is our lake has been turned into a commercial fishing lake that panders to striper guides. Even the TPWL reports now are from the guides and not one word about catfish, black bass , crappie ect. Just stripers. And they have completley over run this lake for the last 2 years it seems.
Even in our slips that we bait out with bamboo that we could alway go and limit out in the spring and late November two years ago we are just catching a few little one now and then. But the stripers are there as well. .

That is how Texoma was back in the 70's, hammer handle stripers everywhere.
