Fished brush piles and submerged timber, 10 to 19 FOW, used minnows and jigs... Didn't very many either, but damn not even thumb. How you guys catching them? I'll give it another shot next weekend, maybe I'll try lake main river channel, I got a good one in mind.

This time of year you might find them biting in 6 foot of water or less.

They’re definitely on the move. Places I caught fish 2 weeks ago before we left town we’re void this week but managed to find them in main lake timber! Been on 3 lakes and same pattern and results on all 3! I love fishing this time of year!!

How deep you catch them slew? I tried timber, but back in a cove with a good size creek, which I thought would be good. The brush piles I fished were in the main lake.

20-25FOW was best. I caught some in 14-16FOW but not near the quality and didn’t see nearly the fish. I’m sure there’s some super shallow too but that’s not my game. I would much rather push deep than shallow. thumb

That’s so cool, I prefer deep as well, I like to use my livescope, that’s part of the fun!

Is that a river channel under water, or a river channel with a bank? If the latter, that is a deep river!

I was able take my son and daughter out yesterday. Much nicer day than expected. We all caught plenty. Daughter got 1.70 lber on livescope 1/8 jig head in chartreuse. Fish where in same place as they have been all year. Some very high in the timber big schools in 15-20ft.

I think my local lake is just over fished, had someone tell me a month or so ago, that they guides have left this lake...Normally I fish a variety of lakes, but this year I been fishing one lake that is closest to my house because of gas prices. Will probably fish another lake this weekend, plus scout for ducks!
