I can not decide between a 7' medium or 7'3" medium spinning rod. Thoughts? Pros? Cons?

Primarily to be used for whacky rigging, lighter weight finesse, and small jig soft plastic swim baits.

Either one really. Wont be able to tell much difference between them.

What flex is the rod? Fast? med fast? xtra fast?

I would go with the 7'3" But it's about what you like.

I have a 6'8" med light / fast rod i use for a lot of smaller baits. I like the feel of it.
But anything bigger than 1/4 oz i use a 7' med/fast

7'3" would be my pick. With sissy sticks, fairy wands, spinning rods, whatever you call them, I prefer to have a little longer rod as it allows for a more parabolic bend when fighting fish.

7'3" will be very slightly less stiff which is the difference in being able to throw a very lite crank bait or small finesse plastic and not.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Got it. I do not think there is really a wrong answer here, but I wanted to hear some thoughts.

I use a 6โ€™10โ€ St. Croix med. fast that works great. I donโ€™t think I would have as much feel with a 7โ€™3โ€

I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle
