I purchased a livescope set up off of a friend of mine. It has updates that need to be done to it. It looks like it is tied in with his email when I flip through the settings to update it. Is there a way for me to update without his password etc that is tied to it?

you can change the password pretty easy once you get it to let you in.

updates are done thru active capt. app or maybe an sd card ( I use the app)

I would assume a SD card would allow it.

He will need to remove it from his active captain account that way its not linked to him, Once done you'll be able to add it to yours and proceed with the updates
