Colors are peaking at my place right now. This was taken from the end of my dock looking back at my place at 11 am this morning. Was 28F at 7 am this morning and 42F when i snapped the pic. Calling for a skiff of snow next weekend.

Thanks, The Bear is awesome. Yeah i am a hunter first and fisherman second. Fishing is more of a crime of opportunity for me on the soft water. Hard water season though not much is open to hunt so i give her pretty hard on the ice. As for the fishing it is good in my neck of the woods. Lots of smaller remote lakes that take effort to get to that hold good numbers but not typically any monsters. Lake Nipissing on the other hand has like 45 species and potential trophies all over the place. It is well developed and accessible on the north shore but the 50 mile stretch of the south shore is wild and undeveloped with no access other than a long boat ride. That's where i do most of my hard water fishing as none of the outfitters will go that far and 95% of the population is not kitted out or brave enough to do it themselves. I have had 40 walleye days there on the ice and some behemoths over 30 inches.

Good story. I have been fortunate to have been give several pounds of black bear meat. The texture and taste were the best I've eaten , no fat, easy to smoke and great to eat !

The change of seasons colors are the bomb.
