tfo have impressed me, changed over to mostly all tfo. this is one I use for chatterbaits/sq. bills/spinners TAC MBR 736-1 7'3" H 12-25 1/2-1 1/2 oz Fast 4.3 oz A 1 $159.95 this is my other for same baits. TAC SB 705-1 7'0" MH 8-20 1/4-3/4 oz Moderate 4.5 oz A 1 $159.95 https://tforods.com/product/tactical-bass/their warranty is excellent, I broke one on a cast that was a legend of fork special (60.00 instead of 160.00), called and asked to buy a replacement since I didn't expect the special would be covered. took 2 pictures, had new rod in about 3 days. it was a defect in the blank, broke inside the handle. I use lews super duty wide spool reels with big game 15#, throw 1/4 to 3/4 oz. chatterbaits and spinners.

Lots of good rods in that price range. Don't overthink it. I use the same rod I have used for spinnerbaits for years

I used a Dobyns 706 CB rod personally. I tried to like the glass rods for a chatter bait, but I did not like the loss of sensitivity.
Something with a moderate - fast action with good back bone will get it done.
