Spent a week at Grand Lake, OK last week running jugs and fishing off of my buddy’s boat house. Great week… loaded up on mostly blues. Largest were a couple of nines and a seven. Plus a pile of good eaters in the two to three pound range.

You bet. We fished out of my buddy’s pontoon boat. Wow, never been in a pontoon boat. It’s a dang floating living room. Only drawback was my jug getter hook was a bit short for that type of boat. You’re really high over the water. So I made a new one today for the next trip. Ash handle from Home Depot, larger hook, and some fancy coach whipping and Turk’s head knots.

That is a professional jug snatcher! Wow, looks great...

I usually catch the jugs with my landing net.
