I drove by Lavon this weekend and the lake is down by 6ft. I can walk to my fishing spots.

It's really bad man. I think maybe 25 percent of my normal spots have enough water right now. Problem is, when it gets time, will they have enough water then?

This year is the first I have tried to catch them in fall and winter, I normally just hunt migratory birds fall and winter. How deep do the creeks need to be to catch them? I been dove hunting every weekend since Sep 1, but I'm going to focus on crappie till duck hunting season, then I'm gonna try and do both. I duck hunt a lot on mouths of creeks, I can probably kill ducks and catch crappy in the same area. I have been out a few times this fall and caught a few keepers..

Very bad indeed. I fish a lot of creeks during the year and they all need a LOT of RAIN! eeks

It’s deer season, no time for fishing.

If you haven’t been creek fishing, you won’t know what you are missing

,grass is taking over that lake..for some reason the hydrilla is growing like crazy.. dont know what changed, its always been a deep, volatile , clear lake with poor nutrient inflow. more sunlight penetration perhaps?
things are changing right before out eyes. its happening all over the world.. makes u wonder where all the water is.
3 lakes in central texas are over 10 feet below normal pool.. thats ALOT of water...

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I dang near live on Stillhouse so I forced myself to fish it more often and try to figure out the crappie in there. Last year around this time I was very successful up river. Caught decent fish and several limits. Right now I cant even get my boat that far up the river....
