I heard that ramps were closed from low water. Was out there about 6 weeks ago and that surprises me. Can anyone verify one way or the other? Thanks.

Only the Mary King ramp is closed right now. Walleye would be next with Overlook being the last. The lake would have to drop at least 2 more feet before all ramps would be closed. Hoping for some good fall rains or the perfectly placed tropical storm in the next 2 months.

The fishing was not worth it. It is low.
It was surprising to see how many people tied ropes to the legs of the docks out there. It seems to me that getting people hung up on your doc it not gonna keep people away, but instead they are gonna be all over the dock trying to get un snagged.

Woke up this morning

Has there ever been a lake where homeowners hate fishermen more? It has worked on us. My club used to go there twice every year, including once at night. We haven't been back in years.

I have a weekend home on the lake and also fish it quite a bit outside of summer time. Bought the house in 2009 and have never been bothered by a single home owner in fact most that are close by wave and some talk to us while we are fishing. While there are bad apples on both sides, I've generally seen fisherman wanting to get challenged by a homeowner and those that don't, don't.

Now the wake boats....that's a whole different animal.

How low is the lake actually? And does anyone know if Dogwood park ramp is usable?

best thing my parents did is sell the lake lot at Cypress and move to Palestine! SO much nicer and enjoyable! kind of like how Cypress was back in the early 90's before FCWD killed all the grass and promoted all the dallas peeps move out there with their wake board idiot boats
