I have a Evinrude G1 135 hp attached to a CMC manual Jack plate. I am looking to get into skinnier water by adjusting the manual Jack plate setting. Is there a "perfect" setting for performance of a manual Jack plate. The current setting works great for overall performance on my Bluewave 2000 Purebay. I am looking for feedback on whether I have the opportune setting. The boat was purchased used so it was set to the previous owner's preference. Thanks in advance.

Manual plate isn’t going to do much to let you get in the gunk.
When you set it to run best with your load and prop that’s where it stays.
A hydraulic can be useful because you can change on the fly to get in and out of dicey areas.
