Is it true, 240 boats on Lewisville today for just a regular circuit THSBA tournament?

At what point do these tournaments simply start damaging the fish population of local lakes?

Bass Champs has drawn close to that or more on Lewisville. BASS Opens has had close to 200 boats on it.

Bass Champs doesn’t have 10 divisions that fish 5 tournaments per division.

So what you are saying is stop all tournaments?

In my mind boats are boats when it comes to fishing pressure. Not trying to take a shot at the kids but one could argue that the Champs anglers probably catch more fish than the kids on average in an event.

If you want them to ban or limit HS events then you better he ready and accept that same deal when they go after other trails. To me it's a slippery slope. Careful what you wish for.

Who said anything about banning anything?

My question is, how much fishing pressure (due to high volume tournaments) is too much to where we see significant decline in fish population on area lakes?

Is that not a valid question for the cool club? Or do I need to be initiated into something?

We need high school tournaments like a bullet to the cranium.

Lewisville has a giant sandbass population. Largemouth population is not near as high as east Texas lakes. Not sure if any tournaments have played a role in that. The Open pros certainly didn’t damage the population in Fall a few years back at Lewisville.

Not a valid question! Just opinions about impact on fish populations. You must have the initiation password.

My only point is if we want "other" tournaments to be limited then eventually they will want to limit ours.

As for initiations and cool clubs I have no clue what yiu are talking about.
