Approximately 70 million Americans will see a 8.7% increase in their Social Security benefits and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments in 2023. On average, Social Security benefits will increase by more than $140 per month starting in January.

Which means those on fixed income will still be making less since Biden took over.

So we make your stuff cost $300 more, but just remember we are giving you a $140 raise! Vote for your friendly neighborhood democrat!

I will barely notice. My paltry benefit was reduced by about 2/3 since I worked for the post office.

Actually, mine just keeps going up and up. Going to be nice raises on the Fixed Income (Social Security, Military Pension, VA Disability) and Medicare Premium is going down. Win Win. $$$$$

Fantastic.

Thanks, Joe. My monthly grocery bill has gone up about $300, and we won't even talk about gas, utilities, and almost every service industry, so that $280 for the both of us ain't going to go very far to solve the problem.

Was on the phone last week with an SSA agent in Denton regarding a client claim. She mentioned that Medicare premiums appeared to be going down for 2023.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Medicare premiums are going down 3% in 2023. Big woo when you remember that they were increased 14% in 2022.

Retired on 9-8-2020 and receiving SS for the past 21 months. Got a 5.9% and an 8.7% increase the first 2 years. 14.6% increase is better than a kick in the a$$.

Several just want to take a kick at the president.
What actually causes inflation? Hint, when demand pushes prices up. Nobody created it as much as Covid did.

We went from -3 to 7 GNP in 2020-2021. You can look but I don't think you will ever find that in the US. At least not since I was born.

Yeehaw, cpi is higher than expected in Sept. I hope I get an obama phone too. It will be an overall negative gain, but the lemmings will not be able to understand. Shiny objects fascinate them.
