I need to buy map cards for my Humminbird Helix units. Lakemaster is just introducing what they call VX maps. I can still buy the old Lakemaster or Lakemaster Plus maps it seems right now at a pretty good discount. It looks to me that the only differences are more choices for color highlight ranges and inclusion of Smart Strike. What do others think about are the new maps worth more? I primarily fish for bass.

The Premium VX is a combo Lakemaster, Lakemaster Plus, and Lakemaster SmartStrike products. Whether you can use the new mapping depends on what unit/s you have. Helix has to be third or fourth generation.

Just bought the new vx premium card. Can’t get the SmartStrike menu to open on it. Waiting on bird to get back with me.
Best todate 12.03 Clyde Lake. 1995 Elite 202 Champion still floating.
