Fished FCL on Monday from 7 am until 4 pm. Water temps are falling as most areas were in the mid 80s & the discharge was in the mid 90s. Also, they are starting the annual lowering of the lake level. The level is currently at 389.96 MSL ...this is down .82 feet from 3 weeks ago. I also did notice clouds of algae bloom in one area of the lake, but it was not widespread. The sunfish bite was good, but they have already completely abandoned one area, and only one area still had lots of bigs. All the sunfish were caught on Gulp Alive minnows in the "Black Shad" color. The bass bite was real slow until 3:15 when things just exploded for big fish. Around that time the wind died down & the lake just looked real "fishy". Ended up with 3 bass over 5 & one over 6. Didn't get the 6 pounder on video, but lucked out & got the 5s. All bass were caught on 3" swimbaits in "Black Back Shad" color. The sky was nice for making video...so here ya go...On the way home I had a bearing go out on my boat trailer, so will probably be down for a while...such is life.

Nice video. Looks like the bass were in the warm water discharge area. I just assummed that would be a no fish zone in the hotter months but then opposite in winter. Why do you think they are in there now?

Cool video and nice fish! Hate to hear about your bearing problem, I have bearing buddies on all 3 of my boat trailers. Well worth the money

Thanks Chuck, Leo & Doc.
ACS...That is the intake area...not the hot water discharge. There is a 10-15 degree difference in the 2 areas with the intake being the cooler one.
