There are many and are posted here with some regularity. A quick search will give you all the info you need. The thing I've noticed is that the recommendations haven't changed much over a number of years.

Lots of good options with solid Captains and great boats. No tourism there just hard core fishing Captains.

Paradise Outfitters, Mexican Gulf, Voodoo are a few solid choices.

Tuna are Pelagic so they move around. There are periods of great fishing and periods of tough fishing. Some years are better than others. Any day any Captain can put the best the fish on the board. Some do it more consistent then others. Weather is a key. There can be periods where they can’t get out for days. This time of year is bigger fish but more likely rough weather although there will be some great weather days.

Summer will have less trips canceled and less bookings so if cancelled you might be able to rebook next day with someone decent.Summer tuna are smaller. 75# is a solid one. This time of year thru April they all stay pretty booked. Big tuna. Several 200#+ taken lately.

Probably the best guy to go with in Kevin Beach with Mexican Gulf. How many days a year he books and how quick he books is a good indication of that.

Follow Venice Marina and Venice Tuna Fishing on Facebook

About $3,000 a day for 6 guys. Rent a house boat at Venice Marina is the way to go. Get 6 guys with money. If they can’t afford $1,000 for the total trip get someone else unless you can afford it.

My other recommendation is lots want to stay on the Rod 100% of the time for a individual fish. Trade off. Get the fish in the boat. You will catch more. 200# fish aren’t coming into the boat easily. It takes time. With one guy ion the rod it takes more time. In reality it’s the Captain who is catching the fish anyway. Doing good on the rod is important but he decides where to go and what to throw,

Good recommendation. One of the two owners of Mexican Gulf fishing. Kevin always has more days booked than just about anyone. His next unbooked day is in February. He is as good as they get. 41 ft Freeman The Pale Horse.
