So I need to take more time to get out to my parents place in Celina and do some bass fishing. Crappie has ALWAYS been my thing but I want to get better at bass fishing. Plan to go this Sunday. I have enough bass stuff to figure it out, but what would you use this time of year. There are six large ponds. The three in the back are pretty deep and have been there a very long time. Have seen some good fish in them. The three surrounding the house are about 7-8 years old and he had them stocked as soon as they filled.

WHAT DO I THROW???

These are the old deep ponds.

These are the new ponds that have been stocked

And this is a new pond that has not been stocked, was thinking about throwing some fishing in there. not sure if that would even do any good.

I think it would make a good catfish pond.

Small swim bait. Spinnerbait shad colored. And to fish out deep, tx rigged senko. That should be all you need. If you go early, for sure have a buzzbait tied on.

I'll try that, thanks. Have had a lot of luck on a frog out there in the past.

I've had luck with that also. Used the biggest senko I had weightless and really did well. But that was dead of summer.

And thank you, they do have a beautiful place.

I'm honestly Jelly.. I grew up fishing "Tanks" , well that is what we called them. Very nice.. Probably doesn't matter what you throw, but something weedless would be what I would throw.

Anything...

Fish in ponds that get little to no pressure will hit about anything.

To KISS go with a big bag of senkos a pack of 3/0 hooks and knock yourself out. You'd be set for a day.

just take a box of lures etc. and go fish.

figure out what they want then vary it a little, fish the way you want.
