From my 8 plus years and several hurricanes in Florida, gas stations get hit hard during hurricanes too. Pumps are out due to power outages, and some even got salt water in the tanks with the fuel. Only vehicle that is good to get around in right after a hurricane is a kayak or jon boat.

Me? I’ve just seen enough sedans gets flooded in 18” of water, just saying it’s no different than an EV. I agree above the hybrid is the best of both worlds, but I’d stick to a landcruiser with Jerry cans on the back for me.

After visiting this thread I went and looked at several You Tube videos on Tesla's in water.
No telling what the long term affects are but they seem to do better than most sedans in deep water. The taller SUV's and trucks did good too.

Hydrogen. It’s coming, we’ll all be driving around with a stack of 5 fuel cells or as I like to call them bombs. It’s being piloted in CA now with class 8 trucks.
