Trying to get some first hand experience from someone that owns a XPress X21, preferably someone that has one that is a 2019 or newer.
Thanks in advance.

Dont know much about the x21 but i ran a x19 on Toledo Bend for ten years. Its only down fall on a lake full of stumps and high wave action that over the years the contour of the bottom do to dents caused the boat to run flat and not lift. It was a very dependable boat otherwise. Toledo Bend is a very rough lake to idle on in high winds and hell on the bottom of a boat. So keep that in mine, you way not have that problem on your home lakes.

I really had my heart set on buying an X21 last year: had some nice new and used ones available to buy near me, and wound up in a glass boat instead, Went with a Skeeter. The reason I backed off the Xpress X21 is I kept seeing newer ones on social media ripped wide open where the starboard side met the bottom of the hull probably anywhere from a 6 to 10 foot tear right at the weld seam was centered around the console. Every one I saw stated the damage was done by impacting a big wave hard. I figure some how some way the orgins of this damage could be traced back to China. I'm sure if it happened enough Xpress has already taken evasive actions in their manufacturing process. I'd still consider an X21 if I come across a deal and was looking but I think that desicion would come with a conversation with someone that knows a lot more about these boats than I do. This issue is probably related to certain recent year models but not others.

Thanks for all of the comments. Looks like I may need to just keep my Skeeter.

I think people love them as long as they stay in one piece. I would consider purchasing one for a good price, but I wont spend 50-60k on a aluminum boat.

I don't run a X21 but I do run a H20B and run her hard and have had no issues at all. It does run well in rough water (not Bass Cat or Champion good) very stable and fishes well. Also rigging all your stuff is super easy they run a big tube down the middle of the boat to run all your wiring. Also Xpress is super helpful with any questions. I ran Bass Cats and Champions for years and have been super happy with my Xpress. The only thing i am not overlay happy with is the trailer.
Do something different, you will be surprised what happens. 2020 Xpress H20B 115 Yamaha SHO

I run a 2019 X-21. Love the boat. Rides great. Just a few issues I don't like. Mainly the storage always has water in them. The trailers suck bad.
I don't worry about scratching it though.

Fantastic boat in rough and smooth water, salt and fresh. No problems at all. It's a bass hull with a center console top. There are thousands of these type boats out there but you generally only hear of those with problems, people seeking help or venting frustration. The happy ones are out enjoying the waters
