Scientists have genetically modified a strain of the herpes virus to act as a cancer-killing agent in humans. Findings from an initial human trial are encouraging, with the experimental treatment proving safe and promisingly effective.
“Viruses are one of humanity’s oldest enemies, as we have all seen over the pandemic,” explained Kristian Helen from the Institute of Cancer Research. “But our new research suggests we can exploit some of the features that make them challenging adversaries to infect and kill cancer cells.” Most of the people on this forum would rather slam their weenie in a sliding glass door than take a COVID vaccine, and that was just viral MRNA. Soooo, how do we feel about treating cancer with a genetically modified strain of herpes?

There will actually be some research done first with this, unlike the placebo given the last 2 years.

There was some guys about a year ago that said they had something great that could possibly be engineered for each persons specific case. I cant remember all the details but i believe they were in Isreal or Italy and it seemwd very promising. Hopefully theres a big break thru with one of these

I am sorry, but "a cure for cancer" makes me chuckle. Don't get me wrong; I hate all cancers. It has taken away many of my friends and family members. Do you know what will happen to the medical industry if someone cures cancer? We're talking billions of dollars lost.

I am sorry, but "a cure for cancer" makes me chuckle. Don't get me wrong; I hate all cancers. It has taken away many of my friends and family members. Do you know what will happen to the medical industry if someone cures cancer? We're talking billions of dollars lost. 👍

Cancer isn't a single disease with a single cure. There are cures for some cancers. I don't get the mantra of a cure will get suppressed so treatments can make more money. It simply isn't true.
