Masks are useless against the virus. Totally! They probably set the stage for bacterial infections because with exhaled vapor they become moist and a bacteria magnet.

Courage - knowing something will hurt and still doing it.
Stupidity - knowing something will hurt and still doing it.

That’s why life is difficult

Individual choice has always been the answer.
(although muzzles may benefit some folks)

I used to love going to Austin more than anywhere. It probably leaned liberal 40 years ago, but it wasn't full blown lunatic yet.

Are immunocompromised individuals able to be vaccinated?

Some yes, some no. My doctor strongly recommended it in my situation. Of course, that was back when the vaccine actually worked against the existing variants.

Was that Austin, MN?

I was in Austin weekend before this and again this weekend. At Pecan Street Fest, I saw more vendors, outdoor bar help more than the fest goers wearing masks. I went to Waterloo Records Saturday before the game and stopped by Sholtz's before air time of the Longhorn game and saw 2 folks wearing a mask.

Kinda hard to drink beer with a mask.

Fitting to be from OK making comments like this

One of my daughter's best friends in 7th grade has a disease that puts her at major risk of these type of issues. She wears a mask. She's not fat or old or unhealthy. She's young and fit and thin. But a mask may have saved her life.

I remember being 25 and knowing everything. Those were the good old days....

good! maybe the flu outbreak will stay low this year. That's about the only thing it's good for in general population. #FJB

Through all this craziness about masks, jabs, staying away from each other, staying home, and everything else on how to avoid the Vid. What hasn't been beaten into the ground is a healthy diet. Immune boosting, healthy foods. Minimize preservatives. Things like that.
I didn't wear a mask. Unless I absolutely had to. Children's being the place I put one on the most. I didn't stop working. I went into convenience stores several times a week as usual. Attended quite a few concerts. Been to the casino numerous times. Not jabbed. We had family gatherings every holiday we gather for. I threw a BBQ Memorial Weekend in the heart of the pandemic. All that, not a sniffle, cough, any other symptoms. I think that is mostly because of how we eat here. 90% of the time we eat good healthy meals. I'm a cereal junkie. That's my bad for you food. Maybe hit a fast food place 3-4 times a year.
I get it. That's just anecdotal evidence. But almost 3 years in. I'm still covid free. So is my wife.
Last note. I did take advantage of the social distancing thing often. I just don't like people up close anyway. roflmao
