oh and never got to have a mini bike or motorcycle thanks to an older cousin who killed himself on one. He was my moms favorite of the cousins to she wasn't having it.

Baseball, Fishing, Hunting, and tinkering with anything mechanical. I always was working on some “invention” in my dads shop, and a few of them were pretty good. Two of those I later refined years later, and have patents on. My masterpiece was not something I invented, but rather something I built. It was a moonshine still when I was in HS. It was the gift that kept on giving.

Lots of Hot wheels (approximately 2600 cars to date including 9 of the original 16 in mint and almost every set you can think of, the mongoose and the snake being my favorite), coleco then atari, video game room at putt putt, animated hot rod monsters that came in bubble gum package with rectangular piece of gum that broke into a hundred pieces when you first tried to chew it, mad magazine

Hot wheels got put away for awhile after I stepped on one in the middle of the night getting up to take a leak

Motorcycles since I was 12 and still ride over 40 years later.
Collected and traded baseball and football cards.
Hanging at the arcade in the mall with friends.
Sandlot sports, football, baseball, "smear the queer" (don't get your panties in a bunch, no real queers were harmed in our games and that is just what it was called back then)

fishing of course
riding bikes
building forts in vacant lots
building model cars and airplanes.

As a teen got into muscle cars and me and my pals built a 68 mustang

Building forts and tree houses in the woods, and playing "war". Building non powered downhill go carts from a 1x12, old baby carriage axles and wheels and steering with your feet down a steep red shale road. Sleds and toboggans in the snowy winter months down hills in the orchard. Building a raft from four 55 gallon drums and some wood and exploring the nearby reservoir. Climbing the signal trestle on the train tracks and hiding while trains went under. Cutting long limber saplings and carving a point on the end to stab an apple and "whip" it, sending the apple for miles. Little league baseball, flipping baseball cards at recess in school. Building and riding our single speed bikes. Then girls, working on our clunker cars to keep them running, girls, then girls, and more girls. the late 60's and early 70's were awesome.

Doodlebug scooter, old style gokart, Shooting dove with my bolt action Mossberg 20 ga, trespassing on foot to catch a toesack full of fish on the South Concho River, flying control line Ringmaster model, and letting a bunch of crazy friends get me in trouble. Little League baseball and the early days of trying to play golf with Kmart clubs and shoes.

I lived in the boonies , my mom worked and my dad went to summer school to get hours above his masters. I rigged some pvc ends to my bicycle to hold my fishing poles and would ride around to the creeks and fish all day. I can't imagine a 10-12 year old doing that today.

I built models too. Played drums. Camped and played at the creek a lot. yeah, we'd hop a fence and go fishing. Always liked art, drawing, painting, etc. Art major in college.
Making out with neighborhood girls was fun.

Pre teen, fishing and catching
Teen, fishing and catching plus hunting

Nowadays fishing but not much catching plus one or two days deer "hunting" if I'm lucky enough to get away.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

I did these too. Mostly cars. got pretty good at it. I did this up into my early 20's. When the spousal unit drags me to Hobby Lobby I always end up in this section. But, never buy anything.
