In keeping these boys ate up with the lake, I found this boat down in south Texas, early this spring. Brought it back up here, did some work on it and got it all cleaned it up and I'm here to tell ya, skiing is addicting. I've got both boys 6 & 8 doing it, my dad 63 is ripping it up and I just hang on and go as hard as I can till it hurts. If I could get it to run about 50 I think I'd give barefooting a try! cheers

Every year when we go to Jamacia for a week The resort has all sorts of freebies to do, i'll get out there early and go once or twice before it gets rough and crowded. Growing up our parents taught us early on and would drag us around the lake

Does it seem like water skiing is making a comeback? Maybe I just wasn't noticing it but it seems like it started declining after wake board became popular and now it seems like I'm seeing it more and more often. My knees can't possibly take it anymore but I used to enjoy it years ago.

Hope you can find a lake with smooth water. The boats people are buying these days are designed to create the biggest wake possible.

I haven't seen anyone on water skis in forever. I think I still have some in my attic.

I agree, I’ve had two other friends buy “older” ski boats this year and I’ve certainly seen more people skiing on Nocona than the past 10 years. I think people are realizing jr is never going to be on the Xgames and maybe a six figure wakeboard boat is a bad investment. This one is a 1998 Supra Legacy, with a PCM 350 that had a hair over 700 hours and was less than 10k…

I think you got an excellent boat for a really good price. It's great to see 3 generations all enjoying the water skis. Those kids will remember that for the rest of their lives. Makes me happy to see this. I'm not much of a fan of wakeboard boats and what they do.

Back in the day, I was just getting comfortable with two skis but I never made it to a slalom.

I started with a 14’ Fleetform and a 35 hp Evie! Brother was home from Nam and we wore that old boat out! Had to kick a ski to slalom then it did ok. Sometimes it was hard to find the expelled ski! Ha fun times and RIP to my Bro! Agent Orange finally got him or helped get him!
